The Bungalow
The House, built in 1914, was originally the home of John Chartz, District Attorney in Carson City. John and Marguerite raised 3 children in the home. The middle son, Jimmy Chartz, a very popular character in Carson, lived in the home until his passing at 79 in 1999. Fully restored in 2005, this Arts and Crafts style home has the original fir floors, pulley windows, pine moldings and high ceilings. Much of the decor is vintage. The house operated as a Bed & Breakfast, known as the Bliss Bungalow, from 2006 to 2020, before returning to private residence status. This website lives on to share the legacy of an iconic structure located in the Historic District of Carson City, Nevada.
